Savannah's only recreational women's flat-track roller derby league, operating under the rules and guidelines of the Womens' Flat-Track Derby Association.
If you're not familiar with the rebirth of roller derby throughout the country, then just google it! Women's roller derby has been featured in nearly every newspaper and television network in the country, including Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and CNN. Today's leagues have updated the crowd-pleasing aggressive sport with an edgier attitude and with the addition of modern touches, such as tattooed team members, sassy uniforms and cheeky penalties.We practice Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 10 pm. at the Garden City Recreation Center behind Groves High School on Hwy. 21.
