Our Mission: To promote a quality, prosperous business climate in the unique environment of Downtown Savannah.

How will the DBA do that?

Collaborating:  We believe that more can be accomplished if the various organizations cooperate, the DBA works to stay closely aligned with the efforts of the City of Savannah Departments, the Savannah Renewal & Development Agency, the Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Neighborhood Association and others.

Communicating:  Updated web information, monthly e-mail newsletters to members, forums, and roundtables on appropriate issues, help to organize city wide promotions.  

Education:  A series of monthly luncheon meetings include a networking opportunity and speaker along with lunch.  Held the second Wednesday of each month, topics are chosen to be of interest to DBA Members; legal, financial, marketing/advertising and city issues.

Advocacy:  The DBA is ever alert to the interests of its members and sees a key role in quickly mobilizing around an issue important to downtown business.  At the same time it is a positive, action oriented, results-driven organization anxious to be a catalyst for progress in downtown Savannah.

Special Events:  The DBA develops and coordinates special events which will be announced on our website and in our monthly newsletter.

Customer Service Recognition:  The SDBA recognizes that hospitality defines and differentiates downtown Savannah, the DBA awards deserving individuals with it's KISS (Keep & Improve Service in Savannah) Award which culminates with the annual "GRACIE" Awards to those providing outstanding customer service.
